What will you major in/study?

Film/ Media Art Production

Why did you choose school?

I visited multiple schools and knew right away that Emerson was a perfect fit for me. Not only is it nationally ranked highly for its film program, but their Boston and Los Angeles locations are very exciting. During my visits I found that the student interactions were great and the professors were very engaging. Both Coach Gold and Coach Ulrich have been extremely supportive of my achievements both on and off the field and they have been very helpful during the recruiting and admission process. I can't wait to play for them.

What is your HS team's outlook for next year?

Our team looks very strong this year and I am confident that we will be extremely competitive at the League, District, and PIAA Playoff levels.

Your Thoughts:

I would like to thank my parents for constantly pushing me to do my best and achieve my goals, while sacrificing endless weekends driving me to tournaments.

To Coach Wimer, Coach Nicodemi, and Coach Esbenshade: Thank you very much for the opportunity to pursue my lacrosse growth with the Low and Away program. As a late comer to the game, Coach Wimer has always worked with me to improve my stick skills, Coach Nicodemi with my defense, and Coach Esbenshade with my face-offs. You have always supported me to make it to the next level with both the club and school teams.

I especially want to thank Coach Hughes for working with me this last year to improve my skills outside of facing off.  I also appreciate the help and effort from my personal trainer John Telepchak and my face-off league coach John Bodnar.

Our Thoughts:

Fernando has worked extremely hard to become a solid face off player.  He has incredibly quick hands and will look to use that in helping Manheim Township during the spring season.  Off the field he is very gifted in the film/art production and Emerson's program is one of the best.  Congratulations to him on commiting to a school where he will be able to excell both on the field and in the classroom!
