Franklin Marquet 2015 Selects Hobart College

High School: Dallastown Area High School

Honors: Baltimore Summer Kickoff All Star, 2014 League Champions, team captain, Under Armour Shootout, MVP, New England Top 150, and Make A Wish 2015 team.

Why I chose Hobart: I decided I wanted to attend Hobart College because of the tradition the school has on and off the lacrosse field. Hobart has the student to teacher ratio, economics program, and facilities that will help me be successful. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to play great lacrosse, and at the same time, getting a degree from one of the great storied lacrosse schools in the country.

Other schools considered: Hobart, F&M, Umass Lowell

Thank you:

First and foremost, thank you to my family for the constant support. I wouldn't have had any of the opportunities I currently have if it wasn't for your support.

Thanks Coach Wimer, Coach Espenshade, and Coach Nicodemi for guiding me through this stressful process, and helping me make the decision that was best for me. You guys taught me a ton this summer, and I feel like I really grew as a player under your guidance.

Thank you Coach Phil for being there to bounce questions off of and making spring lacrosse a blast.

Thanks to Coach Westenberger, Coach Lynam, Coach Yoder, and Coach Ensminger for teaching me to play the game, and more importantly love the game.

Last but not least, a huge thank you to my trainer Matt Marshall from Heritage Hills Athletic Club. I wouldn't have been able to compete at the level I did this summer without your constant support, training, and ankle rehab.

Spring Team Outlook:

Following a league championship, we return a strong group of seniors who have been playing together since we were kids. I think that the off field chemistry will really show on the field this year, as we hope to make the state tournament and go deep into the district tournament.

Our Thoughts:

Frankie has elevated his game to a whole new level this summer.  His summer accomplishments spoke for itself and we couldn't be happier for his selection.  It shows that working hard to achieve your goal pays off!  Great job Frankie and best of luck to you at Hobart!
